How can we help?
Answers about translating chapters, pages and refunds, your files, and copyright.
How it works
How do I translate a chapter?
Upload a PDF, CBZ/ZIP or a set of images, check the page order, choose the source and target language, then translate one sample page. If it looks right, translate the rest of the chapter and export it.
Will I know the cost before translating?
Yes. Every task shows a quote in pages before it starts. Nothing is charged until you confirm, and pages that were already translated with the same settings are reused for free.
Can I fix a translation?
Yes. You can edit the text on a page, or request a revision of a single page. Earlier versions stay available so you can compare and switch back.
Is the translation perfect?
No machine translation is perfect. Review names, honorifics and sound effects before sharing, and use the glossary to keep character names consistent.
Pages, credits & refunds
What counts as a page?
One image or one PDF page is one page and uses one credit. Very tall webtoon strips are split into slices and each slice counts as a page. The quote shows the exact number before you confirm.
What happens if a page fails?
Pages are only charged after a result is saved. Failed or cancelled pages give their credits back automatically.
Do purchased pages expire?
No. Purchased pages never expire. Free sign-up pages expire 30 days after you sign up.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Unused purchased pages can be refunded in full within 7 days of purchase from the Billing page. Used pages are not refundable, except for duplicate charges, billing errors and verified outages.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Every pack is a one-time purchase with no auto-renewal.
Which currency and payment methods?
All prices are in US dollars (USD). Payments are processed by Stripe and the available methods are shown at checkout. We never see your card details.
Files, privacy & retention
Which files can I upload?
PDF, CBZ and ZIP chapters, and PNG, JPEG or WebP images. Up to 300 pages and 250 MB per upload. Exports are PDF, CBZ or ZIP with no watermark.
Are my files private?
Files are kept in private storage that only your workspace can open. Uploads that never start a paid task are deleted after 24 hours, paid project files after 30 days and exports after 7 days. We never use your files to train AI models.
Copyright
What may I upload?
Only material you own or are allowed to translate. You are responsible for any licence needed to publish or share translated pages.
How do I report infringing content?
Send a notice as described on the Copyright page. We review valid notices, remove the material and may close accounts of repeat infringers.
Scripting with API keys
Workspace owners and admins create keys under Account settings → API keys. Send the key in an Authorization header; keys work only on /api/v1 and act on the workspace they were created in.
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $MT_API_KEY" "$APP_URL/api/v1/projects"
Works with a key: projects, page imports, quotes and quote acceptance, tasks, exports, files and billing reads. Not with a key: key management, account, team, workspace list and billing checkout.
Spending free pages needs the browser human check, so a workspace that has never paid gets 403 API_KEY_REQUIRES_PAID_WORKSPACE when accepting a quote with a key.
Revoked, expired or unknown keys get 401. Each key has its own rate limit; on 429 wait for Retry-After. Manage API keys
